Western Greece weather by month: when to go
Air temperature, sea temperature and rainfall for the Preveza/PVK area, month by month — the reference to check before you pick your dates.
Preveza sits right on the Ionian coast, which gives it a classic Mediterranean climate — hot, dry summers and mild, wetter winters. Here's what that actually looks like month by month, based on long-term climate averages for the area.
The shape of the year
Daytime highs range from around 13°C in January up to roughly 29°C in August, with July and August holding steady around 26–29°C and seeing almost no rain — typically just 2–3 wet days a month. November is the wettest month by a clear margin, with the most rainy days of the year. Sea temperature follows a similar curve, peaking in August at around 26°C and dropping to its coolest, around 14°C, in February.

The short version
Peak summer (July–August)
The warmest, driest and busiest window, with the warmest sea. Book well ahead — campsites and rentals fill up.
Shoulder season (May, June, September, October)
Comfortable daytime temperatures, a still-swimmable sea for much of the period, and noticeably fewer crowds — generally the sweet spot for a campervan trip.
Winter (November–February)
Mild by Northern European standards, but wetter, and outside the season most campervan operators and campsites run on. Not the target window for this kind of trip.
